Over 20 years have gone into developing our family's exclusive homebody variety beagle bloodline, selectively breeding for well rounded housepet beagles, and hand raising each of our puppies from birth to go into approved pet-homes only, to responsibly raise up a companion pet.
Our mission is to ultimately produce the perfect indoor companion pet, and we continue to develop our beagles' qualities, luxurious coats, unique colors & sizes, and overall family-oriented wonderful companion pet traits in our pure bred beagle bloodline.

Tricolor BeaglesThe traditional Tricolor Beagle is the Black/Tan/White or Black/Red/White Tri coloring usually seen.
As newborns, they are only two colors- black & white, and as they grow they develop the third reddish coloring on their heads and shoulders where black was present, the white stays white. |

"Miss Christina & kids, I just wanted to you send yall an update on Patches. He is doing soooo great in training class. Our trainer gave him the pre-test today and he passed 16 out of 20 objectives. She said he is one of the smartest Beagles she has ever trained. Housebreaking is going great, he goes to the back door and sits to let us know it is time to go out. He has finished up all his shots and is going later this week to be neutered. The Vet said he is one of the prettiest puppies ever. We are looking forward to seeing you all again next week when we drop him off for boarding. Thanks again for raising such a smart little fellow for us! Any color Beagle may or may not have a "Blaze" which is the white between a dog's eyes, and/or a "Bandana" which is the white around the back of their neck.

Chocolate & White Beagles
Our classy Chocolate Beagles have warm Brown & White coloring, and they can often have less shedding coats! Usually their backs will have a deeper chocolate, and their heads will be a brighter brown color.

|  Chocolate beagle puppy Cole sits calmly on his bed with his litttermates here in our home. In this puppy setup, he has the choice of bed and toys, and paper, and learns to choose paper for "good hurry up"and keep his bed clean. We work with our puppies ahead of time to help with the transition to their indoor forever pet-home!

Cole has been an amazing addition to this beagle-loving household.He has grown to be so handsome, he gets fawned over everywhere we go! Khaki & White BeaglesOur luxurious Khaki and white beagles are Miss C's favorites! We have worked to develop softer coats all around, and the khakis in particular most often have the very least shedding fur, hypo-allergenic coats, which is why many of our customers who have had allergies to dog dander and fur in the past choose to adopt one of our rare color khaki beagles with the shorter less shedding coats. The Chocolates, Silvers, sometimes oranges, and occasionally tricolors depending on heritage can also have the less shedding coats good for allergy prone families!

   | Khaki Cuties... Interior Designer inspired colors !! (We say this tongue and cheek)- sometimes folks do tend to appreciate their colors for their beauty, but these are all true hound colors, some of which are much more rare than others. What is exclusive to our bloodline is the many years selective breeding we've done to increase the quality of coats, softness, shorter length of fur coat, and due to their quality, in many cases the richness & vibrance of the color, and decrease the amount of fur that comes out, since these are intended to be indoor housepets.
This is only one of the many traits we've considered and focused on more than other breeders who are developing their lines for other purposes. We don't agree with designer dogs, where breeders cross breed resulting in obtaining some of the traits they desired from various breeds to create a new type of dog or look, ours are all pure bred beagles, we just used our discretion to choose puppies with the best possible qualities, one of which included a softer less course coat, that Miss Christina's mom, who was an interior designer, noted many years ago would make a better indoor pet and she favored the less shedding khaki color, which she joked coincidently went so well with many yuppie decor, thus we jokingly made the comment they were interior designer inspired colors many years ago, before the advent of what other breeders have bred for and coined as their 'designer dogs'. We have not designed the beagle, we have only enhanced our line for - Pet homes & families who want an indoor raised sweetheart to love for a lifetime companionship ! Folks tell us their khaki beagle has less of the typical beagle traits such as tracking, howling , and running off. we love that other folks see the difference in them too ! A family who had a tri colored beagle when the kids grew up told us their dog would escape and go hunt down rabbits to bring to their back door as a present. Their khaki beagle is so unlike that dog they told us they dont even have alergic reactions to it vs their tri color that made them alergic when it was at home not out hunting prey !

Myers Park, Charlotte, NC, blonde, "Lemon", 'Margaret' on right. We stopped by to visit her, and show them our newest khaki, and chocolate colored puppies. We joked with her blond parents about having chosen the only lemon in her litter cause they matched ! Folks often choose a puppy that matches them well , just as people choose a mate who resembles themselves ! They posed for our Yuppy Puppy Photo !! Margaret's mom was expecting their 1st human baby and having learned from raising her was a good initial experience in parenthood for the young couple !

After meeting the Case family's Khaki Mini "Justin", Granddad fell in love with their Sunshine Acres Beagle and wanted one of his own! David & Irene got him the best birthday gift, his very own baby beagle!

She is SO cute. And you cannot believe how affectionate she is. We let her snuggle with us on the couch every night -- and in the bed for naps and early in the AM -- She loves that! But happily goes in her crate when we put her there. But her favorite place is to snuggle with me. :-) IT is helping a lot. I miss Holly so much - im sort of numb still ......since i had her for so long as she was my first dog. Thanks for asking. I have a couple pics to send from Mexico where you can see Pixi holding fort over the place! And when she isnt playing in the grass or sand she is being spoiled by our staff that fight over who gets to carry her around. The cleaning girls come and ask if they can bring Pixi around with them as they clean the bedrooms and they sing mexican lulabys to her all morning. Then they carry her around like a baby. Sunshine Acres Beagles started in the North West, with our first litter of beagle puppies by Angel, alongside the birth of Miss Christina's daughter "Christi" in 1990. A couple years and puppies later in 1992 Miss Christina's son "Cody" joined the family. Christina had owned beagles previously as pets, and after noticing the differences in beagle lines, from hunting stock in the south to the show bloodlines in the NorthWest, she decided to focus on developing a line strictly for the pet-home, breeding for the qualities that make beagles the perfect family addition and raising them for that purpose. Miss Christina had experienced the joy of the beagle breed from early childhood, falling in love with their endearing, curious, and well-rounded nature. She also experienced the sorrow of losing a friend due to the scent-driven desires bred into and started on in hunting lines, where their passion was meant for the game. However, having also owned companion beagles, and seeing their passion for their master and human families, Miss Christina understoof the difference breeding focus and upbringing methods can make, and with love for the Beagle breed, she decided to share that joy we have found in our beloved beagle companions with other families like ours, who truly want a companion to live as a member of the household. Our love for the beagle breed has compelled us to focus on breeding to improve the breed for homebodies, not hunting abilities, raising puppies to be family members specifically bred and raised for the purpose of being a beloved pet!
