I told her someone e-mailed us recently saying they had heard that Pocket beagles were good in apts.... and she said well he was fine in an apt. too. and he is a larger standard sized beagle... She told us they lived in a complex where dogs had a big fenced in Run they could all go out and play in after work.. he loved it and got along well with all the other doggies and had a blast... now they are in a house and he will have a fenced in yard and a new little playmate ( Fluffy ) to hang out with ..

we thank everyone who was asking about this sweetheart ... sometimes we are in several conversations with different people who are interested in a certain puppy, ... and someone comes forward that really fits ...

then, we know its time to let go..

even of our favorites we held onto...

and she found a great home life with a new friend and amazingly his name was also Cody,..

like my son's ..

& she is not too far from home & my son Cody will get to see her again whenever her new family travels she promised to bring her home to stay with us and we loved hearing that !

until we agree to let them go we enjoy having them here with us, so getting to see her again whenever her folks travel was a definate plus so we could spend more time with her in the future as she grows up...lots of the Sunshine Acres Beagle Puppies we place in homes come stay with us when their folks travel, move into a new home ( like Teddy's mom just did, and we watched him and worked on training so he was ready to use a doggie door, her handyman had installed in her new home.. sleep in a crate , instead of with mommie...LOL.. etc.

hey you.... how'd you get out there ?? and how do I do it ?? says one of Cara's girls to Marley's girlie who is out playing at the toy basket area.

we suggest everyone make their own low basket full of fun toys and chew items , with a bed in front near where your family hangs out in the evenings.. the puppy will learn to find its own items to entertain it .. we offer helpful hints to make your new puppy fit right into the family life at your house the day you come out to ours to pick up your new pet !

Plan to spend a little time going over when next shots are due and housebreaking tips etc. We give you a health folder with dates of wormings , shots etc. on it and are happy to answer your questions to help make it a wonderful home comming for your new Sunshine Acres Beagle Puppy , from our family to yours !

they already have a bigger sized tri beagle and wanted her to have a friend, sometimes this can really have

a good effect on an older dog... they like to " mother" a young pup and begin being more active again teaching their little one all the family's rules and the " ropes" so to speak.

this is an adult male orange and white, so you can see how they turn out to look as an adult . "Rover" He has dark eyes and nose and a slick pretty coat. and he is a great size for a companion,

some people seem to think they need a mini to have an indoor dog, but standard sized beagles are good for housepets too !

Just wanted to give you a quick update. We made the 6pm flight back to Fort Lauderdale last night. Marbles was so quiet and well behaved (slept the whole way)...until the pilot's lousy and incredibly bumpy landing. Then he cried because he was hungry :( So I got home and immediately warmed up some half n half and boy did he lap it up. He cried for seconds--slurped that up too.

Then I decided to briefly introduce him to Pigpen. No problems at all. Pigpen sniffed him here and there...funny thing though, it was rather uneventful! Pigpen didn't mind having Marbles next to him at all. I took a picture of Marbles next to Pigpen, snuggling on the couch together already. I also took a picture of Marbles in his bed with the fish stuffed animal. (I am waiting to introduce him to the cats for several more days.)

We gave him some more half n half before putting him in the tub to sleep. We woke up early this morning to feed him some mushed Iams with warm water. He gobbled that up too! He is the sloppiest eater...got it all over his face and ears--too cute. It's like he wanted to keep some on his chin for leftovers! He also makes the cutest sounds when he is eating, just like when Sunny was nursing him and his siblings.

I called my mom from work today to see how he was doing and she said that he was such an angel. Anyway, I am sure I will be taking a TON of pictures but I wanted to send you these two. My husband, Jim, and I just adore Marbles. We are soooo happy!

Marbles is doing great...soooo smart. We switched him from the tub to the crate this past week. For a couple of nights, he slept in his crate overnight for 5-6 hours already! We are going to start puppy training classes in a couple of weeks, which I am sure he will be so good at. He and Pigpen get along really well. Marbles especially likes taking naps on top of Pigpen.
By the way, I don't know if you or Christi have ever heard of this program called Picasa, but it's really neat. You can make photo albums, edit photos, etc. You can download it for free on Google. I used it to make the collage that's attached to this email.

we were so happy to see our old friends again. The couple got one of our beagles in 2000 and we think that is so special when someone thinks enough of us to come back for another one .

behind sunny is Minkies chocolate 2 yr old daughter Coco who regularly comes to board with us while her family ...travels , takes cruises , goes off to camp.. etc..

we are happy to have her come visit us, and she benefits by having companionship and social time with our doggies .. like the dog wisperer does... hey cool !

such a deal for $15 per day ! she brings her own things , her crate, bowls, food and toys or treats , so everythikng is familiar... she stays happily with us and our pets !!! rather than going to a kennel where she would be confined in a cage till they got back to pick her up...they told us she was hoarse when they picked her up from the vets kennel when we went out of town one trip they took a last year.

WE cant promiss to be here to watch um every holiday , we try to get away or take a break from work now and then but whenever possible we love having our pups , come back to stay with us here so we can see how they have grown and changed ! Coco's dad has her doing all kinds of neat tricks , he even thought he might send in a tape when they had the casting call for the beagle to play underdog he laughed and told us .. she is trained to do the "Bang" your dead trick with the pretend finger gun , he fires and she falls dead !!

Baby Girl had to have the Vet Deliver her litter .... of course after hours... never fails !!! We called our trusted Vet Doc Faulkner in Lancaster to come help us get them out after the first one needed help ( mommy was just too small) He loaded up the kids and wife and rushed right in to get the babies out in time to save the remainder of the litter ! His wife Monica helped in the operating room, and even daughter Carson rub, rub, rubbed on one of the tiny lifeless newbie's till she took her first breath of air in the outside world... !! How exciting for everyone ! We all had baby beagles to care for and all of them made it whew ! we got here in time , yippee !!

As Baby Girl was revived and starting to care for her pups Carson wrote a Christmas assignment for school about what it Smells like on Christmas eve... it all sounded so yummie, warm baked cookies and Christmas Treats, Pies , and hot coco... I asked her if it would be ok to name the Silver Sweetie she helped bring into the world after her, and the brother after her baby brother "Wyatt" and she said sure !! that would be neat ! so we are in their honor for all their help that night in the vet office after hours making sure our Holidays are full of puppy kisses !!

"peek a boo , I'm down here under the stool watching all that goes on .." says tiny pocket sized 16 week old Bonkers the sweetie...

He is close by watching as Baby Girls pups nurse... in the whelping room... he started following me around now just like my companion Grace ,

what a wonderful best friend he is going to make ( Bonkers has found a wonderful home now !!) he went to a quiet little girl who said she wanted a puppy that would never grow up... !
