Introducing Daisy
More playful than most females she is always up for a game or playing with something !
" Daisy " doggie is one of our Sunshine Acres Beagle gang that amazes folks who have had a beagle from other lines in the past. she loves to lay on the front porch or on the driveway to our home... they just cant believe a beagle that doesnt hunt and leave to head to the woods to find rabbits to chase ! We allow several of our beagles to be loose at a time even though we are surrounded by woods and pastures they dont wander away... we are breeding for homebodies who want to be home with you. this is what our customers are hoping to find in a pet beagle ! she is a well rounded family pet and whether hangin out on the deck waiting for a bite from a cookout with the family ; or watchin a good movie with the kids, her pups are fun, just like her !

He is claimed by Nicci Brown and her family who
lives right here in Monroe NC! They had done their research and decided a beagle would be the perfect family companion pet for them to add to their lives When we decided to get a dog (about a year ago), we did a lot of research both online and through dog books. One dog that has come up as ideal for us time and again is the Beagle. This brings me to your site. We would just love to adopt one of your Beagle puppies. Like many folks, they hoped to rescue a deserving beagle, and adopted a beagle mix into their household. . We admire folks who try to adopt rescued animals, and we know it does often work out with patience and experience. She told us about some incidents that they were faced with however, and due to his ultimate size being much larger than they had hoped for & his already acquired temperament, they were unable to keep him (at 65 lbs a dog would need to be very obediant and submissive so that young children were safe. Starting from young puppy hood, one can influence their puppy's future behaviors & habits, but it is more challenging to re-program an older, bigger, mixed breed dog for a family with young children to be able to handle. )
We've noticed traits of aggression in him (at 65 pounds, he can be a real handful), and obedience training has been helpful but has not completely fixed his dominance and bullying. After their bad experience with a rescue beagle mix, they found us and like many others who come to us after trying to integrate a dog who was not bred & raised for their pet-lifestyle, including size and compatability, they decided to add one of our hand raised family oriented beagle puppies to their family to love and raise as their own! "Hello Miss C, Thank you for all the wonderful information you have on your website. I feel very comfortable inquiring about a Beagle puppy from you - I've read to be careful about breeders but the information you provide lets me know that you are not running a "puppy mill." Partly for fear of buying from a puppy mill, my family and I decided to get a rescue dog from an online source this summer..."

These Newly weds had emailed in January while in the process of purchasing their first home together, asking about joining the waiting list for their firstborn baby beagle! They had asked for a tricolor standard baby to arrive for them and they would be ready starting May! This is one readon why we have a waiting list- so that we can get to know folks ahead of time and they can become prepared to responsibly bring home their new family member! Leah had done as we ask and gently reminded us of their desire to adopt a Sunshine Beagle puppy from us!
"I have included our previous email below (in case you didn’t get it) and also attached a picture of Jonny and I! I am always taking pictures and sharing them online, so we would definitely keep you up to date with our growing puppy if we are lucky enough to be chosen as suitable parents for one of your little babies! We would also like information about placing a deposit using Paypal if we are pre-approved for your waiting list. We may be trying to get on the waiting list a bit early, but we just don’t want to miss an opportunity to raise one of your puppies since our timeframe is important to us (see our previous email below for timeframe explanation). Thank you once again for your time. We really appreciate all that you are doing to love and care for these adorable puppies! Sincerely, Leah Morehouse
Initial email:
Dear Miss Christina,
We are very impressed by your extensive website. It offers many helpful tips for raising a puppy. We have always loved beagles, but wanted one to be an addition to our family rather than for hunting purposes. It seems like most other breeders breed beagles for their hunting abilities, and that is very discouraging to us. The idea of having a beagle that is a loving companion and a house pet is exactly what we have been looking for. We would love a beagle that can be a part of our family and would be a loving friend to our future children. We would treat our beagle puppy as our first child! We can already picture our puppy joining us on trips to the park, baseball field (Jonny is a baseball coach), and the beach (we live along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, and there is a dog beach nearby!) Our puppy would sleep in a crate or bed, most likely in our bedroom. Having a puppy will probably be great practice for having children! Honestly, the thing that we are most concerned about is the distance our puppy would have to travel to get to us! We considered coming to pick up our puppy in person, however, we decided that it would probably be best if our puppy were shipped via air. We are looking for a tri-colored puppy, preferably with a blaze, either male or female. If possible, we would like a standard size beagle of a petite/slim build. We would like a puppy that is playful, but also likes to cuddle…basically just a sweet little puppy! As far as timeframe, we really need to wait until May 2010 at the earliest. This will give us time to get settled into our new house and make the house puppy-friendly. We also want to be able to devote our attention to raising our puppy rather than moving. Our ideal timeframe is May-July 2010. Jonny is a physical education teacher, so he has his summers off! Getting a puppy in this timeframe would allow Jonny to be home with our puppy and give it the attention that it deserves. Leah is a dental hygienist and works in a dental office close to our house, so she can also go home and visit our little puppy on her lunch break!
Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you! We really appreciated hearing all about how one of our babies would fit in for many years of happy enjoyment!

I know thought miss c. my mom the interior designer wouldnt let my Hunting bred stinky beagle hound an uncle had given me in the house either , hey maybe thats why I developed a line of beagles for indoor mainly homes ... ya think? lol. with less shedding fur and smell .... could be. these guys do have really specially pretty coats we have noticed a sheen to them !
