Eve hangs out inside at Christmas time as her puppies wean and she jumps
in to visit them less and less

"Hi Ms. Christina, I noticed that
Eve just had another litter and I just thought Id update you on one of her
babies from her previous litter!
Snicket is
almost 7 months old now and she is doing so well! She has learned a few
tricks like sit, laydown, roll over, and high five! She learned them all
in just a few minutes too, shes a very smart little girl. The last time
I took her in for a vet visit the vet asked where I got her and said
that you all make really great pets! She is as healthy as a horse too! I
have never had a puppy quite like her. She is such a cuddler and always
wants to be close to me (she is currently snoozing under my knees while
I write this!) and we love to take naps together! But she loves to play
too and is always ready to go play with her friends at the dog park, but
of course, she has to make the rounds with all the people before she
says hello to the other dogs. She is so friendly Im glad I wasnt in the
market for a watchdog (although she does like to bark at the dogs on tv)!!
Everyone who
meets her comments to me about how beautiful she is and how luxurious
her coat is. When I tell people she is nearly full grown at 15 pounds I
always get oohs and ahhs at her perfect little size :) She is happy,
healthy, and such a lover! She just loves to give kisses and loves to be
held. I have never seen another dog that relishes being held the way she
does!
Thanks so much
for my perfect little pet!

and Snicket"

Hi Miss Christina,
I wanted to give you an update on Ginger.
(She was a gift from Santa for our 2 boys in Harrisburg NC).
We were able to pull off the surprise for the kids, she was tucked away
under the tree (fast asleep) on Christmas morning. Everyone in the house
immediately fell in love with her!
We have had her for over 5 months now and
she is a wonderful addition to our family. She is house-trained and crate
trained. We have Contain-A-Pet "invisible" fencing in the back yard. She
just LOVES playing outside with the boys. One of her favorite past times
is tossing her toys around the backyard and chasing them. Of course she
loves chasing bugs, birds and chewing on sticks. We have a wooded area in
our backyard and there are quite a few rabbits around. I cannot help but
laugh at the fact that she completely ignores the rabbits! I
have seen them hop within several feet of her and she is oblivious!
(Just confirmation for you that you have successfully created a line of
beagles that are NOT rabbit hunters!!) :)
Ginger starts her obedience
training this week at a
local kennel. (We need to work on some basic manners with her, but I have
no doubt that she will be a fast learner).
I have to tell you that everywhere I take
her people always tell me what a beautiful Beagle she is, and they comment
on her great markings. I proudly tell them that she is a Sunshine Acres
puppy!
Lastly, I wanted to ask you about her
shedding, I know it's pretty common in beagles, but I wanted to check with
you to see if you had any tips on how to reduce the shedding. She still
eats the Eukanuba puppy formula- so I know she is getting the high quality
food. I have heard that you can feed them one cooked egg a week to reduce
it, but I wanted to check with you for some recommendations.
I am attaching a few pictures, thanks for
this wonderful addition to our family.
Thanks!!

Reply Note from Miss C:
hey guys!!!
thats amazing she was fast asleep under the tree.. goodness what a
photo too cute !!
is that the type of inv. fence you place a unit and it emits a signal in
a circle...around the house? and too cool to hear that about the
rabbits.. i was just talking to a fellow about rabbit dogs being all the
other guys are breeding for around here... wish you could snap a pic of
that for the web site woo hoo !!
we had a pup years back that would go camping and they wouldnt even take
his leash he would sit near them , well one morning he went down a trail
a bit and they watched him .. relieve himself .. turn and a rabbit was
right there... they said oh gosh what should we do?? he looked at it and
then turned his attention to a butterfly... they laughed so hard ...he
was a true disgrace to his breed but a tribute to us working to delete
that interest !! ha .
as far as shedding goes the rare colored ones often shed the least.. of
course all do have to loose winter coats and summercoats during parts of
the year.. but eukanuba is best i have talked to other breeders who
swear by it for helping with that due to the omega 3 fish oils in it..
you can use some liquid called..
Natural care vitaderm shed and itch relief... its to go on food and does
seem to be beneficial too.. i give grace our salmon skins when we eat
it..too!
we are still working on better less shed tri colored coats and have made
them shorter in many lines we have but only a few have really equally
less shedding fur to the rare colors ...( of course there have to be
many ancestors of rare colored beagles in a bloodline so some are better
than others... ) not all rare colored ones are as good as others just
like with people there are variables to consider..) hopefully right now
its just the warmer weather making her loose winter fur...
we are so happy to have made such a wonderful xmas morning for your
kids and additon to your family thanks so much for sharing this !!!

He has lost all his puppy fur and now has an unbelievably soft, shiny,
coat

"..He has grown into SUCH a handsome boy. People comment all the
time on how good looking he is. And he just has the best
personality...such a lover. A friend came over who was having a
rough time and Charlie seemed to sense in and just gave him nothing but
love and snuggles - didn't leave his lap. Puppy therapy is such a
real thing. Charlie saves on heating bills by keeping my bed warm in
the winter ;) and I have reached a new level of hatred for Mondays when I
have to go to the office and leave him after a fabulous weekend of fetch
and snuggles. I think of you all so often and cannot begin to
express how thankful I am for all you do to raise such incredible dogs.
Charlie has improved my life in countless ways..."
pretty " Eve" has such cute little white paws !!
