Hello,
Thank you for providing such a detailed and informative web site
about beagles! I have enjoyed looking through your pictures and
learning more about your family. My mom retired 4 years ago and she
is now interested in getting a beagle puppy. She had a basset hound
35 years ago, and now she's fallen in love with the tri-color
beagles. We live in Raleigh, NC, and we'd love to know how we can
add a new beagle to the family. To answer your questions:
1. The new furry family member will sleep either in a playpen type
of bed or in bed with my mom. Yes, this little one is already
spoiled.
2. She has a fenced in yard, approximately 1/2 an acre. The new
puppy will be walked twice a day on a leash around the neighborhood
and will stay inside most of the time.
3. We live in Garner, which is just about 5 miles from Raleigh,
NC. Mom lives in a older neighborhood where lots of people walk
their dogs daily.
4. There are no kids in the home. My mom does have a bunny that
stays in a cage outside and does not wander around.
5. We are currently ready to purchase the puppy. We would like to
arrange to travel to you to pick him/her up. We are interested in
learning more about whether or not the puppy will travel well. Mom
would like to be able to take the puppy with her on day trips around
the state and to her brother's house to visit.
6. We are interested in a standard size tri-color male puppy,
although mom would easily fall in love with a female puppy! In
terms of personality, she'd prefer one with more of a laid back
personality that enjoys being held, snuggling, and sitting in our
laps. And one that will walk on a leash well. We plan to enroll in
a puppy training class if needed to help the puppy become familiar
with walking on a leash without stressing. We welcome any additional
recommendations to help make this a successful experience for the
puppy!
Thanks again for all of your information and all you do to care for
these beautiful dogs. We look forward to hearing from you!
After reading about Barbi's Mom we thought of Rascal and how
perfect the fit would be knowing his mom's personality and his as
well ... they came out right away and he fit her perfectly !!
