Catherine Lane DJ on WSOC radio gets her first puppy from us
Months Later she helps her neighbor get one from us too . Our Second Radio Station appearance went great !! This time we arrived with my new assistant Vet Tech. Terri and her friend Amy to tour the station, and show off the puppies we brought to all the crew and DJ's at WSOC radio .

Sue from Bald Head Island saw our yahoo Classifieds ad x years ago, and emailed back and forth with us until her family had decided on a very rare color silver beagle, whom we had named Slate. He was one of the first few silvers we ever had in our bloodline, and was the kid's favorite at the time. They sent us a deposit to hold him and arranged a before-dawn ferry trip across the water to the mainland in a rain storm to come pick him up! Over the years they've kept in touch, sent photos, updates, and funny fwds .

He was adopted by a loving family with two kids who have recently found out Dad is taking a new job in another state which requires them to move into temporary housing where they cant take a dog.

sweet Colin was sold to a Concord family who wanted a puppy who got along well with other animals. He was a very gentle 15 inch puppy who always kissed and loved to snuggle with other puppies and animals so we thought this was perfect for them ! They have 3 cats and we told them pups adjust well to any animal if given short introductions and as the days go by they spend more and more time together. Lots of our customers report their adult cats are fine with getting a pup if its done gradually.

They've emailed us recently and sent these pictures!
We also brought Chappie with us on our way down to Florida. In
Tampa we introduced Chappie to Debbie, her golden retriever, and her beagle she
bought from us a few months ago. Debbie had recently had to put down an older
beagle of hers and decided to see if we had any older pups for her. Chappie was
perfect... Calm and house trained he sleeps in the bed with her now!

Thinking they would want the traditional tri-color beagle the Jones family comes out to see Prize's newborn litter which was just starting to get their eyes open. Instead they decide on one of Silky's Khaki cuties! When I joked with them about how these pups match the owners, and often the interior of their cars like theirs, thus the nickname Yuppie Puppies.. Bonnie laughed and said, "well we are Yuppies!"

Dobby dog was returned to us when his elderly family could no longer keep him . they said they hated to have to give him up but knew we would find him a good new home... and we did, this young family had been looking and looking to find a beagle for a pet, she said they loved that he was a little older so he could go with them to drag races and come along on trips. |

Oscar is a sweet and loving little guy who is calm and loves to be held close. Because of his slow gentle ways he was just the pup for a charlotte family who fell for him, one of their 3 kids was frightened of dogs but fell for Oscar's calm nature.
finally the day arrives to take him home to join the family... ( not long ago someone told me about a breeder who wouldn't allow pictures, we encourage everyone to remember their camera... many make scrapbooks, we are happy to make this a family experience to remember !! |

Here's tootsie with her new family. This gentleman is an officer in the military and going to Iraq for a year, so he wanted to get his wife a pup to keep her company while he was gone. They came for a tri and she fell for the chocolate- I think they make a great match! (Sabrina heard Catherine Lane DJ on WSOC talking about her little sunshine acres beagle puppy, and told her hubby she wanted one too.) Thanks Catherine for spreading the word !! |

Birthday surprise for Amber!
Thinking she is going to look at a piano, or maybe a guitar, Amber's mom and new father in law to be, bring her from Gastonia, where he owns Failes mini mart next to Lineberger Park. When Miss Christina brings out a puppy, she is so tickled! What a gift! Her mom loves the rare color, it matches her brand new carpet, and the interior of the caddy!

HONEY'S LITTER BORN: August 26, 2000 (Vet check-up after puppies were born, and dew-claw removal )
click to view Vet visit to remove Dew-claws-(this is the thumb nail inside the paw.) These are removed to avoid future problems such as dew-claws getting caught on collars, chain link fencing, wooden decks etc. Many people have told me stories about their dogs with dew-claws having to have emergency surgery after accidentally hanging up on things. Removal makes it easier to cut their nails, it is the hardest to get to, & they don't scratch you when the dog affectionately puts its paw up on your arm, while you pet it etc.( Also without it, a dog can't climb out of fencing, or dig as effectively, or hold onto prey)... it is required in the show ring, however none of our pups have ever gone to a show home. They are strictly pets, but by being out of show bloodlines pups are better INDOOR pets and we avoid the instinct to run off and go hunting!! If you expect to have the dog for the next 10 to 15 years its bloodline should matter to you. Unless you like to chase your dog while it tracks squirrels, rabbits etc. in your neighborhood...And unless you enjoy patching up holes under your fencing where the dog has tried to escape your backyard repeatedly.. Believe me I know from experience. My first 3 beagles were from hunting stock. After the last one climbed the fence and got hit by a car trying to track animals in the neighborhood I decided to take my vet's advice and look for a show bloodline puppy so as to avoid the inbred instinct to hunt.
The Oliver family comes from Hickory to pick a puppy.. they choose a sweetheart, she falls asleep in her new mom's arms and they tell their daughter, remember how you wanted a baby.. well this will have to do.!

They are a beautiful match, and will definitely draw attention together don't you think. She had a tri-color standard black, tan, and white beagle that passed on, and wasn't sure she knew what we meant by the rare color Beagle, but came to see , and fell for the gorgeous color instantly. This cutie curled right up in Carol's lap and took a nice little snooze.. Carol and her husband Gerald, a Realtor (at Vincent Properties in Banner Elk ), go off for one last planed vacation before the puppy is ready to go home with them.
I spoke with Carol about Sunny in January and she said she is such a high class little lady, she says her Vet's office is so impressed that they will only recommend" Sunshine Acres Beagle Puppies", to anyone looking for a pup!! Thanks Guys! |

This teacher and her boyfriend are friends with previous customers of ours who bought a pup when we lived in Stanley years ago. They adore Austin and decide to get a little boy just like him! Trey mailed us a deposit months ago in order to get first pick of the males They knew they wanted to get one in summer so they waited. |

One day recently while working on the web-site I found an ad in the Yahoo classifieds, a UNCC Charlotte student looking for a blond beagle with no Hunting instincts, and no ticking all over. He and I e-mailed back and fourth, and he told me after two disappointing experiences with the local Hunting bred pups, he was looking for a puppy that didn't dig out of the back yard to run off and Hunt! He was excited about the Show Champion bloodline we brought from Seattle! I have gone and looked at so many kennels full of ugly spotted legs, the bluetick beagles are not what I want! All you can find are Hunter's rejects in the paper, after they take them out and try them at hunting rabbits they choose the ones they want and sell the other's cheap. That's because they are so aggravating for pet owner's to have to chase after constantly, I used to get calls from my neighbors saying we have your dog in our yard will you please come get him, and keep him confined. If I could I would! He could get out of anything! This is perfect for me I love the Lemon color! ok lets go..Matthew from Matthews takes his new kid home, and to work at the YMCA .to show off to his friends. . ( NORM named for the UNCC. mascot sold 10/2 new owner's above , students at the University.) Blond Beagle.
Norm's dad comes back 11/11 to get the follow-up shots done. What a cutie !

Stanley gets a new home with a couple who has one of our 8 mo. old males, they decide to get another pup to keep him company and Stanley is such a gentle sweetheart they choose him to be a pal for Euby their dog. ( sometimes folks are amazed we still have one of the pups ... like Stanley who was now 8-9 mo. old, but its funny there is always somebody for every pup, sometimes it just takes time to find the right fit. and often we know from what the e-mails tell us which is right for a family... and a dog will get over looked due to its age or size , color etc. like Stanley, we maybe only showed him 3 times to any one, sometimes one pup is left from a litter and other younger ones start getting looked at and picked and the older pup is overlooked.... we loved Stanley and didn't mind him sticking around but finally the right situation just appeared for him and we are so happy for him now. They even told us we could use him sometime to get some of his pretty red and white fur pups, so that is wonderful since folks love that coloring !! One of these days the right girl will come a long and Stanley will be a dad !!

Charlotte school teacher Kristen, and her husband Mike, waited for Cindy's Litter to be born. She works with Barbara, who has one of our dogs, and hears about "Princess" daily, so she decides to get one too. The day they are born Kristen comes out and picks "Willy". Then she comes back to bond with him as he grows old enough to wean. Each time she brings treats, and Snoopy toys for Christi and Cody.. (we tease her about Bribing them to pay the most attention to her puppy!!) The other teachers at her school even throw Kristen a puppy shower, and she makes a photo album of her visits, and her new baby boy!

once they got to know each other the older dog became motherly and taught her the ropes in the new household , they became best buds and now Callie works at Gaston hospital as a pet therapy dog !!

that face just melts you, he is so calm and good when held he snuggles in and that is just what a young lady from Calif. wrote to say she wanted in a pet. Her bigger dog the Lab wasn't affectionate so she wanted a smaller pet too.

Their friends at the complex they live in even gave them a puppy shower, new crate, toys, the works! We heard from Kenny and Heather, and they claim they don't know what they ever did without him! The couple have since moved into a home with a yard, have fun Cooper!

CHOCOLATE "CHIP" After loosing their big Golden Retriever and having had several other large family dogs over the years this Kannapolis family finds our web site and decides to choose a smaller pet this time to be an indoor companion. They choose this cute puppy who happens to match the family quite well !! His rare color fur and less shedding coat appeal to them after their longer furred friend... Dad tells us you could walk thru the house with socks on and pick up so much fur from the golden, it looked like you had on slippers !! LOL !! The family has recently emailed to say Chocolate "Chip" is doing wonderfully, he already goes to the door to go outside when he needs to, and can bring them his bowl when its dinner time!! |

Lane about getting a puppy. She told us how one day while talking on the air

and they pick up the new family member at the airport.. Her son falls in
love... and they ride home with the pup asleep on his lap,

This family has other small dogs that they like to
take on trips with them and wanted a mini beagle for the son to have his own
dog. The family instantly took to Hershey as well as their other dogs. One
of them has even taken over mothering him, she even helps him up the steps.
Hershey has fit in perfectly with their family they wrote to tell us...

(Remi) That weekend they go back home to Virginia to visit family, they
had recently moved to Charlotte, and go for one last visit before
parenthood! Chris sets up, and networks computer systems, and liked
our web site so well they waited on one of our puppies, since our last
litter. They were even our first on line customers linking to the Petsmart
website from our site, and earning us a commission on their purchase of a crate
, child gate, food, toys, and lots of goodies for their new little baby.
They qualified for a free obedience course we offer for any sale over $50
dollars. or more. And a collectable Snoopy since they have already placed 2
orders through us!! Thanks guys it makes all the work worth while
!!

Some folks take a puppy home to be a best pal for their current
older dog. Most people's pets take the new family member under their wing and
teach the families rules to the new little one. This is Callie an adorable khaki
