Tootsie's Adopted Oct '09 Litter

Introducing Tootsie:

Tootsie is a mini Chocolate first time mommy!

Tootsie as a Puppy!

when she was little we kept her lighter chocolate sister to keep her company growing up, the two would play for hours around our big front yard and on our step to the office while Miss C. did other things , they never wanted to run off so it was nice to have 2 so they had each other for companionship while we were busy with younger puppies .

Their daddy Cooper is a khaki mini darling!

Tootsie's Adopted Litter

She did a very good job taking care of her little ones!

He is claimed by David and Irene Case as a Christmas present for Irene's dad!!

The Case family has one of our khaki minis "Justin Case", and David had previously flown in to Charlotte to meet with us and welcome Justin home!

" Justin is doing just fine here in NJ.   I brought him in for "Show N Tell" where I work and everyone loved him! "
-Irene

Christi,
Hi, it's been a few days now - sorry for the delay in getting these pictures to you - we've been having such a great time with Justin - non stop fun!!!
Thank you for taking such good care of him- you can tell from his disposition that he received lots of love and attention when he was with you.
The children are taking great care of him and he's been going outside for his "business" !
We love hugging and kissing him and he gives kisses when you ask him for some--see the pictures...
Thanks again for matching us up to the perfect puppy for our family-
The Case Family

he is such a cutie, and has a very pretty shade of chocolate fur !

Hi -

Hope all is going well....

Friday night Irene's Dad came back from their country house and we surprised him with the news that the puppy was his!

Every holiday when we get together Ken sticks lottery tickets under everyone's plate for fun. This past Thanksgiving however he was too busy and didn't have time to do it.  While trying to decide how to tell him so he could share in the excitement of the puppies arrival my daughter Monica thought of putting a lottery ticket under everyone's plate except his - his plate would have a picture of the puppy.

This became a family effort in making it the perfect surprise and my son took it a step further - he designed a fake lottery ticket with the picture of the Chocolate Male puppy on it saying "Kenny's Puppy".

Well the plan worked perfectly!  It was a very emotional surprise - we sent you a very shortened version of what took place.  We think you might like to see who will be taking care of the puppy.

The cases sent their care package! They also included special gifts for Christi  who loves to write!! A beautiful journal and fountain pen, which will definitly be put to use, a matching butterfly mirror, and a $25 shopping spree at Kohls!~

Thanks guys you are so thoughtful !!!

Karen flies out from California to meet us and our puppies. Karen is the chairmen of the Hi5 networking site, and her husband Jon Rubinstein is the inventor of the ipod, and is currently working on the Palm Pixi project!

Karen meets Tootsie's tiny babies DokiDoki and Bosco!

Karen shows Christi the Palm Pixi- we found out you can view our website from it perfectly !

Karen and John found us after she met a Khaki Mini female in a coffee shop out in San Fransisco, and just loved her! She described how the young couple was so in love with their lil girl, and were feeding her treats, and how cute she was sitting up in her own lil seat with her pink leash and collar. She was so tiny- they had to find out what she was!

They looked online, and found out all about us and contacted us about finding her own baby! We were almost sure she must have met Sunshine Acres "Nina", a khaki nanomini by Carla who went to a young computer savy couple in San Fransisco. Christi had an idea and went to grab the laptop to show Karen some pictures Nina's family had sent us of her there.

As we went through the pictures, Karen responding to each- the first of Nina on the beach "awe what a great pictures! That could even be the beach that was nearby..." the next picture "Oh it is! That's Alcatraz in the background!" and the last "Oh! That's where the Coffee Shop is!!" It was so amazing how the pieces of the puzzle fell in to place! She and Jon are currently waiting list now for their very own future khaki nanomini baby to love on and easily travel with!

We all say goodbye for now and Karen goes back to the airport to fly home to California!

too cute!

Jake drives us through the rainy weather to Charlotte, while Miss C, Christi, and Bosco sit in the back seat working wirelessly to keep up with emails!

David takes a picture of his new puppy with his Palm Pixi and Miss C comments on the fact that we had just met with Karen the wife of the inventor of the iPod, who is currently working on the Palm Pixie.

David said "Oh yeah, I know Jon, I worked with him years ago at Apple! and now he's my boss' boss!"

We start our drive back home, and on the way check emails.

Before arriving at the house, Karen emails us, with an email from David attached to the bottom!

"

"Such a small world!! David and my husband have known each other for years!
I am hoping that Sandy is doing well - and there might be a nano or 2 in her belly :-)
all the best for xmas !

Subject: Sunshine Beagle Pups

John,
I just picked this little guy up in Charlotte. While I was speaking to Christina, the breeder, she saw my Pixi and said "the iPod and Pixi creator is getting one of our pups, too...". After a few questions, we figured it was you - these guys are adorable... Bosco, here, is for my in-laws - we got a khaki pup back in March...
Enjoy!
Dave

"Doki Doki" Khaki Mini Male with a solid head
(He has been claimed)

He reminds us soooo much of our nano khaki male that we are keeping out of Kiki's litter , almost no white !

He has been claimed by Amy Adamy, an animator from California!

" Yay!  This is wonderful news. Thank you.  Yes I would like to officially claim him! And it's true he reminds me of my dear Friedrick.  I already have a name "Doki Doki"  meaning heart beat in Japanese.  It will be fun to go the the pet store and get his care package together. I had already started collecting some puppy items! Couldn't help myself.  I'm very happy.

Thank you again! -Amy"

eyes just starting to peek!!

Thank you so much Amy Adamy!!

She has sent along DokiDoki's care package, and in it goodies for his litter and for our family to enjoy!!

She also sent along an adorable Bed and Toys for her baby boy, treats, as well as goodies for the family, including White chocolate Gingerbread for Cody to munch on and a Tea Infuser with special French Tea for Christi -

We thought it was especially neat receiving a copy the DVD "Coraline" so we could see and enjoy some of Amy's work!    She did animation for that movie, and we had never gotten the chance to see it before- thanks so much for thinking of that Amy!

Often folks tell us they see us everyday on the website, and feel as though they know all about our family and babies here, and we love it when they return the favor by letting us get to know them, including often the type of work or even sharing something they've made or had a part in creating. This helps us feel as though we have a special bond and further know the wonderful family who is about to adopt our handraised beagle baby.

We love knowing about folks & what they're involved in, especially when you're part of the Sunshine Family!!

Doki
is 3 weeks older than the standard puppy on the left!

DokiDoki joins us in the Living Room to watch the movie his mommy Amy sent us, Coraline!

" Good morning new home! Doki Doki was very good on the flight! And slept most the night. He sounds just like a baby when he cries. I've never heard a dog sound like that! It's hard not to pick him up right away. I'm being strong though and waiting for him to quiet down before getting him. I love him so much! Thank you! It was great to meet you all yesterday. Have a wonderful Christmas - Amy "
