Here's where your puppy gets his/her life started the right way! We're not a corporation, we don't have a "staff" or "business hours", we are a family that personally raises each puppy at our own house, full time!

just some of the cuties we decided to keep for ourselves.. after all thats why we do this we are always in need of our own "Puppy Fix" !!

Allie comes in to visit her puppies and nurse them here and there, until weaning is over.

Lady comes in to nurse her pup.. the moms spend less and less time in with their babies as the paper training / and weaning process goes along..

Meanwhile they get to have several acres to play around on behind our home, full of woods and nice huge shady trees .

The Nursery!

Here the newborns are born into a clean, warm and constantly supervised environment. The mommies each have a doogy door to go outside whenever they like, and above the shower stall lined areas there are heat lamps for the puppies that can be turned on if necessary.

Christi & Jake stay up through the night keeping an eye on expectant mommy Bonnie!

Everyone has a bathtub, and it happens to be just right for a training puppy's own cozy den for when you're not right there with the learning baby in your home!

Just set it up with paper on one side, and a cuddler bed on the other This is a good place for when youre busy and the puppy is not being watched over.. starting out in a new home. While you have him/her out playing with you, you can begin taking them outside and teaching them their designated "hurry up" spot in the yard! This process helps eliminate accidents, till they are big enough to hold it all night and start crate training and/or sleeping with you!)

our home is perched above a stream filled stocked pond, and pups even like to accompany us on our fishing trips down there!

We are located in Monroe NC, outside of Charlotte NC.

Sunshine Acres Customers from all over the nation drive or fly out to meet with us & pick up their puppy!

Once your family has emailed back and forth and we have set an appt for a visit here we will give you directions
( ours are always shorter and more dependable than GPS systems which route you downtown thru all the stop lights and traffic, and back out to the country )

we will also give you our phone number and ask that you call when you are on the way... our private setting here isn't good for cell reception.

Please do call well before you are in our driveway,
so we have time to put up any loose doggies outside who we allow to play off leash at times.. thanks !

often folks have something in common with the new families who are adopting our babies and its fun to meet one another ...one family realized they lived so close they could go to a park to have play dates with a littermate and the two grew up as buddies .. they even baby sat for each others pups since we were half way across the nation from them, and too far to take care of their pups for them .. this was so neat !!

Neither wants to head to the woods they both just want to come back inside not run off to hunt prey.. their pups tend to be best for anyone who cant fence in acreage and still wants a beagle who will stick around , their pups are good homebodies and pets. ( we give some of the dogs a turn out loose in the front at times to show folks our beagles really are different than the normal hunting hound who would be gone in a flash if let out . ( Dot, Daisy , Sylvia, and Missy all takes turns at times in our yard off leash, we don't encourage them to approach customers since some have children who may be afraid of a dog who runs up to them, and we don't want them getting too close when cars come up and down the drive so don't expect them to come running to be petted they are for example of our non instinct driven line only.

a couple recently stood in our driveway and looked around at all the big trees surrounding our property and said
"wow , its beautiful here, we don't have many trees left where we are from can we just enjoy this a minute before we go home?? "

In order to plan your pup's to flight out of state, everything must be taken care of before the flight, and we must also take the puppy to the Vet for you for their Health Certification and Letter of Acclimation to fly out of state as the airlines require.

	Here's the Puppy's room (aka the "Office"!). The left door leads to the living room- another common hangout for the puppies. As the kids watch Tv or sit at the computer, there is often a puppy to be found in someone's lap!



In the Office, puppies are beginning to learn Paper Training. They are offered the choice of bedding and paper, and learn that the paper is the best place to go, keeping their bed clean. (We are using these toy boxes(above), designed to go under someone's bed, but You can do the same thing in your tub.
