After e-mailing us with your preferences and what you hope to find in a pet puppy, and we feel we are comfortable with you as a family we would entrust one of our precious puppies to, we will send our directions and a phone number so you can arrange an appt to come meet us, or to pick up your puppy.

We like to ask a favor of everyone, Please make a pit stop before you get here so we don't have to provide a public restroom in our home. Also, give us a call as you are getting close to our area so we can be sure all the loose pups and doggies are safely put up in the house so you can drive up our driveway without endangering any of our babies!! Thanks !!

We appreciate it if you stop for a last pit stop by Waxhaw  as there are no places close to us.

As you come up our driveway, you will see many of various colors on the right. They are trained on invisible fence.  Sometimes we have different dogs out there to show off their beautiful coloring and coats. We sometimes joke about it being a little like that part in the movie "Jurasic Park" where you drive by the different types of dinasaurs in your car, when you come up to our home and yard , we have a long winding drive up a hill full of woods and a beagle here and there.. You can see all the colors as you arrive .

We live at the top of a long driveway, so often we allow some of the dogs, and pups to romp around out loose in our yard... please let us know when you are on the way !

If you bring small children with you please walk close if you like,  but don't let them walk into the dogs' area Please!! They like to give kisses, and may jump up to do so, we want to be careful so no one gets jumped on. Please instruct them to just look from a distance from our drive.

We expect them to bark to let us know someone is approaching the house. These are our watch dogs who let us know when someone comes to the house. We expect them to bark a bit to let us know when a stranger arrives, but they will stop once we let them know you aren't a burglar!! LOL.

You can see more about invisible fencing on our recommendations page.
We have them out where folks can see some of the unique and beautiful colored rare beagles..

Punkin and Smooches

"Smooches" on the left then Punkin and Sunny, and chocolate Cara with her head turned away.

Quite often we let some of our dogs and pups play outside in the yard off leash together...

Being non hunting variety beagles, they stay close and don't run off to the woods to track animals, and come back to sit in the sun on the front porch till we let them back in.. They cant all be loose at once so different ones get a chance at different times. We try to keep moms and dads away from their puppies when its time to leave so the pups have an easier time of it and don't cry quite as  much for the parents.

hangin' out in the
 front yard ,

loose outside for a snooze in the sun on our walkway !!

So please remember to give us a call when you head our way so we can bring them safely inside...

back deck ...

(hunting hounds would be long gone in the woods !!)

Note to visitors to our home.. please realize we often meet with several other family all on the same day so that we can give advice and share tips with several at once vs repeating everything, plus its fun to meet other folks who have something in common etc..

our office door is to the left next to the garage doors.. and where the Snoopy or Beagle flag hangs please come to this door when arriving ...

Please turn to the left before coming all the way up to the white concrete,  on the asphalt, and head back towards the road ...

Just keep in mind there may be  others arriving after you park..  (so that you arent blocked in:  you can come up one side of the drive, and pass  thru to the other our drive is like a big 8 now...

By  parking on the left driveway, with your car parallel to the folks who may arrive after you,  you can easily leave without backing up, or asking someone to let you out.

Then when you are finished you can easily head home with your new baby on board!!..

Thanks !

Note: if you plan to come visit our home we have a few guidelines we would like for you to follow.. we certainly don't mind anyone bringing their  children to meet our puppies and dogs.. but we must ask a couple of things if you have young children..

-Please tell them this is our home.. and have them understand they should be on their best behavior while here to meet us and the puppies.. in the past the kids and I have on  several occasions come to the conclusion someone's child or children were not careful enough to handle our babies and we declined to sell the family a puppy.. these are not a product to us we handle and love them from the day they are born, stay up for the first few nights watching over them to be sure they nurse and are warm and safe from being laid on by the sleepy mommies, etc.. let them sleep in the bed with us and lay on our lap while we play video games or watch a movie as they grow up to the age of adoption and we hope to find the best possible situations and families for each of them..
so make sure your kids handle them gently and with the respect they deserve as hand raised housepets we love dearly..

-Since we have a group of adult dogs outside where customers can see the gorgeous rare colored beagles we sell and how the pups in those colors will turn out as adults on an Invisible fenced large wooded area by the driveway and parking area in front of our home... please go with young children if they step into the dogs area, as they sometimes will try to jump up to give kisses and get petted, there are flags to show the boundaries so you can just walk up and see them, and not go into their area if you just want to  look at their gorgeous coloring..!!
-Also we have to ask that you not let children go into my kids bedrooms .. amazing to us but some folks kids have over the years just gone off wandering in our home and taken things from the kids bedrooms in one case .. they went home empty handed of course...!!
-And finally please stop prior to coming out to make a family pit stop for restrooms .. again this is our home not a big business or store so we have to ask that you use a public restroom prior to coming, or after leaving, quite often there will be a mother and her newborn puppies on our guest bathroom floor so that we are right here and able to watch over them all night long so  (we can't offer to let someone step over the pups to use our bathroom and hope everyone can understand that... )
( here is Abbey and her huge litter of 10- 2 day old pups on the bath floor )

our puppies aren't cage raised like hunting hounds , but this is why they make such wonderful Indoor Companion pets- thanks for understanding !!

Coming to NC!

If you are thinking of getting a puppy from out of state, as an option, consider driving down to visit our part of the country, maybe take a weekend away from the city and enjoy the mountains, or the antique stores in nearby Waxhaw..nc.

how about a mini vacation along the Appalachian Trail, or  Blue Ridge Parkway,   in Asheville N.C.   There are plenty of bed and breakfast places to stay in North Carolina that would make for a great weekend get away with someone !

Go drive along the gorgeous mountain sides, and enjoy the mountain air,  spend a night  with hot tubs,  and  maybe some good wine..  get up in the morning to head to Monroe to pick up a beagle puppy to take back home.. on Sunday afternoon as you head that way !!

We are very close to Waxhaw NC where there are cute antique store lined streets, with lots of Equestrian, Antique, and bicycle stores to browse in ..

(spend a day shopping in the local area and then come pick up your new puppy before heading home...)

It is an Antique lovers heaven in this cute quiet little town next door to us...

The owner of the

"Furry godmother"

store holds a khaki, and a chocolate puppy we visited  her with, to show her some of our unique  rare colors ..

her groomer cuddles with the chocolate pup

she has lots of goodies for your puppy to enjoy, and breed specific items you just dont see most places...great for the new yuppy puppy owner !

both boys were  going to a family in Alabama who bought them on-line from us.

she has lots of yummy doggie treats and unique gifts. Waxhaw is an adorable little town with plenty to see and do... and its only 15 minutes from our house.

This is home to North Carolina's Steeple Chase race,  and it shows by the collectables in town that relate to horses !

Antiques, and tack abound here !
